Primary Care Progress attends the Global Appreciation Festival at Cal State East Bay to educate others on Cultural Humility!

The set-up of our "test your knowledge" game!

Many people asked why we entered this event since we are not an "international" club. We joined the global appreciation festival that caters to international students because not many people exactly know what cultural knowledge, cultural awareness, cultural sensitivity, cultural competency, or what cultural humility is. This is important in the healthcare field to be knowledgable about when working in a diverse community. We were at the festival to test the knowledge of others if they knew these terms and to educate them about it. We are celebrating the fact that we have these terms that are implemented into our healthcare workforce that caters to our diverse community in every way it can!

A student testing her knowledge by matching up the terms and their definitions!
A thanksgiving meal was provided to everyone who attended!
The festival also showcased students who performed or presented a topic about their respective home countries!
