PCP team attends the UC Davis Pre-Health Conference!
Per the website: Our Pre-Health Conference provides community college, university, and post-bacc students, as well as pre-health advisors with the information and skills necessary to succeed in the health-professions school admission process. It provides a unique opportunity for direct contact with deans of admission, admission officers, financial aid officers, faculty, and staff from a wide variety of health professional programs and other organizations.
The UC Davis Pre-Health Conference is the ultimate place to go for all the information you need about the schools you want to attend. All your questions may be answered in one place! This conference also gives the opportunity for you to show up, introduce yourself, and tell the admissions team why you want to apply to their school. It is also a great place to test your interview skills in case you were not too sure on your skills or ask the questions that makes or breaks your decisions to apply to that school!
The conference gives you free break and lunch, or an additional fee to lunch with a speaker of your choice! They also offer short workshops that range from suturing, lectures, CPR skills, or MCAT study tips that keep you active the entire time you are there.
If the information alone doesn't entice you enough, all schools gives free goodies to attend and speak to them! Our PCP team came back with all kinds of schools that ranges from posters, hand sanitizer, first aid kits, free tooth brushes, prizes such as free MCAT test banks, and candies!
